| Signs of the Times...

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural
affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers
of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures
more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof: from such turn away.2 Timothy 3:1-5
Signs...
- People unprepared...
- People generally ignorant...
- Turning away from truth to fables (new-age)...
- Seeking universal peace...
- Seeking security...
- The True Church being Watchful & Sober
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that
I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord
so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and
safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman
with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in
darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all
the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others;
but let us watch and be sober.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after
their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned
unto fables.
Signs...
- Scoffers & Mockers
- Education much regarded
- Yet ignorant of truth
- Producing educated fools!
Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have
heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the
whole earth.
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking
after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for
since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of the creation.
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should
walk after their own ungodly lusts.
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Signs...
- Modern transportation...in the day of his preparation!

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet:
the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation,
and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. The chariots shall rage in the
streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall
seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

- Marrying & Giving in Marriage
- Blissfully unaware of the Signs...
- ...society of Noahs day corrupt, selfish & violent!

- No Marriage...Fornication
- ...society of Lots day hedonistic, sexually immoral!
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Even thus... shall it be in the day when the Son of man... (Jesus Christ)...is revealed!
The various descriptions, given above, for
mankind, could never be more relevant. The supreme paradox of a planet
with a greater population than ever recorded, (now almost growing
exponentially), riding a wave of technological & scientific progress
yet unable to solve the basic problems inherent in human nature.
Whilst ALL these problems were dealt with at the Cross, by Jesus Christ, mankind
as a whole continually seeks to find alternative ways, through new political systems
or through new religions,
yet still... denying the power of God thereof!
