24 "Now unto Him that is able to keep you
from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."
Jude 24-25
This concluding section contains a brief overview
considering the compelling subject of Time, & other miscellaneous
material relevant to this ministry.
This affirmation of faith familiar to many in mainline
Churches reflects established theological thinking on this world’s future.
One particular conflict that can occur between traditional church teaching
and some contemporary bible prophecy commentators can be highlighted by the
end of the world is nigh syndrome. Some Christians have the
mistaken idea that the world as we know it will cease to exist following
the outpouring of God’s wrath during the Great Tribulation.
These prophets of doom tend not to emphasize the constant, eternal
LOVE of GOD, extending to all. Remembering that even during the coming time
of tribulation there remains an opportunity for the unsaved to turn to God
and receive salvation, as well as it being the time for all Israel to be
saved. (Rom. 11 ).
This conflict occurs due to the mis-translation of the word aeon
in the King James Version, of the Bible, which is incorrectly referred to
as world, (planet earth), as opposed to age, (a time period). This is in
the Gospel accounts (Matt. 24; Mark 13; Luke 21;), when the disciples are
inquiring about the end of the world, the answers Jesus gives are related
to the end of the age, as in period of time and not referring to
the planetary body. This current age is the Church Age
also referred to as the Age of Grace.
The establishment of the Kingdom of God at the end of the tribulation period
will last for 1000 years, (Revelation 20:4), following this period the Lord
will create a new heaven and a new earth, bearing in mind that not only has
this planet been defiled by man’s sin but heaven itself has been effected
by the rebellion of Satan, with one-third of the angels. So it is only
fitting that a pure creation regenerated by fire is prepared for eternity.
Even though there will still be an earth, the new eternal earth will be
beyond anything we can presently imagine.
"Looking for that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;"
Titus 2:13
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
