The Book of Acts...
Turning the World Upside Down!
The word spread around,
turning the world upside down,
by men of renown!
turning the world upside down,

But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd
fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar,
and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. And
when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of
the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
Acts 17:5-6
The impact of the growth of the early church was phenomenal... turning the then known world upside down. The gospel initially being preached to the Jews some of which believed not. Although many Jews did believe and their faith became established largely due to the reliability of the prophetic scriptures fulfilled by Jesus Christ, by his life death and resurrection, confirming him as Yeshua the Messiah.
And reasoned with them out of the scriptures...
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days
reasoned with them out of the scriptures. Opening and alleging that Christ
must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus,
whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the
word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily, whether
those things were.

Shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ...
For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the
scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

Throughout the church age...,
Christians have been able to look back at the way
prophetic scriptures support the accepted truths of their faith. Establishing
confidence and reliance on the words of the Apostles & Prophets.
Similarly having that faith established one can look forward with
expectancy, excitement and confidence to see the literal fulfillment of
other outstanding prophecies, most particularly that...
Blessed Hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:13
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
